The organizing committee of China International Auto Parts Expo(CIAPE) , the Turkish Association of Automotive Parts and Components Manufacturers （Taysad） ,and Uludag Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association(OIB) signed a strategic agreement On Feb. 20th, saying that Turkey, as a partner country, will lead a large exhibiting and purchasing group to attend the 7th CIAPE and hold a series of economic and trade activities during the expo.

As the professional auto and auto parts organizations, Taysad and OIB have numerous members in the industry and maintain a close cooperative relationship with the Turkish government.  Entrusted by Turkey Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Taysad and OIB will organize at least 100 Turkish auto parts manufacturers and over 200 auto parts wholesalers, purchasers and distributors to attend the 7th CIAPE. Activities such as China-Turkey Economic and Trade Seminar and Turkey Night etc will be held during the expo.

It is reported that the Turkish government is devoted to making Turkey the 10th largest economy in the world by the year 2023. Furthermore the Turkish government estimates that the export volume of auto parts will increase from 8.3 billion last year to 40 billion by 2023.

Currently, Turkey is not only a large auto manufacturing country in the Middle East but also the investment paradise for many multinational auto manufacturers. Considering its superior geographic position and the advantage in its labor cost as well as its good foundation of auto and auto parts industry, Turkey will undoubtedly become the bridgehead for China to enter the market of developed countries in Europe. More and deeper  cooperative opportunities for China and Turkey in the auto industry will arise.

With the rapid development of China’s auto industry in recent years, CIAPE, as the only state-level auto parts expo, has been held successfully for 6 years continuously and has gained the support and popularity among the auto industry across the world. This year, Turkey’s participation in the 7th CIAPE as a Partner Country will play a significant role in promoting the communication and cooperation in the auto industry between the two countries and in promoting the development of bilateral trade.
