The other day, officials from the Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM) and National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and people in charge from the 12 national auto and auto parts export bases and the Department of Mechanic, Electronic and Hi-tech Industry of some provinces and cities attended the 6th national auto and auto parts export bases joint conference held by MOFCOM. At the conference officials from MOFCOM introduced the development of China International Auto Parts Expo (CIAPE) in the past 6 years and announced the 8 highlights of the 7th CIAPE. They emphasized that no effort should be spared to make full use of these highlights and organize the promotion and implementation of them so as to make a breakthrough in inviting both exhibitors and visitors.

CIAPE, as the exclusive state-level auto and auto parts expo in China, has been held successfully for 6 years continuously. It attracted auto parts suppliers and purchasers from more than 130 countries and regions across the world. It plays an important role in displaying the integral level of China’s auto industry and strengthening international communication and cooperation.
Officials from MOFCOM announced the 8 highlights of the 7th CIAPE at the conference.

1. Procurement teams from 20 countries. 20 national auto and auto parts procurement teams from America, France, Russia, Korea, India, Japan, Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Brazil, etc will be invited to visit the expo. They will also visit some of the auto and auto parts factories in China to seek further cooperation.

2. Partner Country strategy. India participated in the 6th CIAPE as a partner country last year and this year Turkey is the partner country of the 7th CIAPE. The Turkish government and the Turkish Association of Automotive Parts and Components Manufacturers （Taysad）will organize over 100 auto and auto parts manufacturers and hundreds of purchasers to participate in the expo.

3. Auto Factory Annual Conference. It is an established practice for purchasing, R & D and technical personnel from auto factories to visit CIAPE. Over 2,000 purchasing, R & D and technical personnel from auto factories participated in the 5th and 6th CIAPE. More emphasis will be paid to inviting personnel from auto factories this year. More work will be done to organize auto factories to hold their annual conference during the expo and to announce their purchasing plan for the next year.

4. Lectures on auto parts import and export policy. Lectures on auto parts import and export policy will be held by MOFCOM, NDRC, 12 national auto and auto parts bases and China Automotive Technology and Research Center at which the related policies on Chinese enterprises entering the global market as well as on overseas enterprises entering the Chinese market will be interpreted and analyzed.

5. Two “hundred list” auto parts manufacturers will be announced. China Automotive News and the organizing committee of CIAPE will make an inventory of the domestic and overseas auto parts manufacturers to select the best, the most advanced and excellent enterprises in the industry and launch ‘hundred list of the comprehensive competitiveness of international auto parts enterprises’ and ‘hundred list of the comprehensive competitiveness of China automotive’. The lists will be announced in the Great Hall of the People.

6. Auto Parts Development Summit Forum. The 7th China International Auto Parts Development Summit Forum, the highest level summit in China’s auto parts industry, will be held in the Great Hall of the People, at which 500 senior executives, government officials and personnel from associations, media and world renowned auto and auto parts enterprises will be invited to discuss the hot issues in the auto industry.

7. Eight Distributor Annual Conferences. Eight Distributor Annual Conferences that focus on auto parts distributors and cover cars from Germany, America, Japan, Korea and China and commercial vehicles such as passenger car and heavy truck etc will be held during the expo namely Domestic Cars Distributor Annual Conference, National Japanese Auto Parts Distributor Annual Conference, National American Auto Parts Distributor Annual Conference,  National German Auto Parts Distributor Annual Conference, National Korean Auto Parts Distributor Annual Conference ,National Commercial Vehicle Parts Distributor Annual Conference, National Microcar Parts Distributor Annual Conference, National Spare Parts Distributor Annual Conference.

8. Auto Parts Purchasing Match-making Meeting. CIAPE and Gasgoo International will hold large one-on-one matchmaking meetings during the expo in which purchasers from more than 100 auto factories and OE suppliers will be invited to meet with the auto parts suppliers according to the nationality, vehicle type and brand.
